I love DC! I have four kiddos that are or have been coyotes— Micah (incoming freshman at Boulder, but a coyote since 3rd grade), Graham (7th), Levi (3rd), and Kennedy (1st). We adore Diamond Canyon. I work full time, love hiking, crafting, reading, and traveling. I am always up for a coffee meet up, so please reach out. I love the energy at Diamond Canyon, and am excited to get to know more families as we all work together to be a gift to the teachers and students of this school. My family moved to Anthem last year and we fell in love with the amazing DC community. I have four beautiful girls and all are attending Diamond Canyon next year; Ashlyn (8th), Emily (6th), Kallie (4th) and Kenzie (1st). I loved being involved and volunteering on campus last year. I am also a certified substitute teacher and enjoyed seeing our coyotes excel when I subbed in their classrooms. Some things I enjoy are hiking, singing, playing the piano/ukulele, playing games, and cheering my girls on in their various activities. I’m new to the PTA world but I am excited to work alongside our incredible families to support our teachers, students and staff at DC to make it an exceptional and memorable year! |

I have two kiddos at Diamond Canyon, Wesley going into 7th grade and Levi going into 5th grade. This is our 3rd year as Coyotes and Arizonans. We are a bicoastal family, having been born and raised in California but lived in Massachusetts for 15 yrs. I work part-time as an OR nurse, love backpacking, hiking, paddle boarding, arts & crafts and singing. I'm super excited to be part of the PTA board this year. I can't wait to meet you all and work together to make this the most exciting year yet. I'm a supervisor at Arion Care & have a wild & crazy 1st grader (Hudson) here at Dc. I have lived in Anthem for 10 plus years. Our community is the best. when I'm not working or running to a sports activity I love being outside, traveling & in the gym. I ABSOLUTELY love it here & can't wait for all the fun stuff this school year has in store.

TREASURER: Mirta Chavin treasurer.dcpta@gmail.com Areas of Responsibility: Finical Reporting, Teacher Grant Requests A note from Mirta: My family and I moved to AZ a little over 2 years ago from New Jersey. We have 3 kids starting their 3rd year at Diamond Canyon (Christina - 8th grade, Christopher and Caitlyn - 6th grade). This will be my 2nd year as Treasurer of the DC PTA Board. I had a great time last year working with the team during the various events as we supported and celebrated your kids, teachers and school. I loved the kids' smiles as we handed out ice cream during student appreciation, as they walked in through the balloon arches at the dance/bingo events or when we sprayed them with water/color during the Coyote Run. I look forward to working with you and the new PTA board as we make it the best year yet! |
